Nando's Peri-Peri chicken is the most favorable option when it comes to heal hunger among youngsters.
Tonight, while my other half and i were having dinner, she asked me did Nando's originate in Malaysia or not.
According to wikipedia, Nando's is a casual dining restaurant group originating from South Africa with a Portuguese / Mozambican theme.
Who cares so much as long as the food is finger licking good?
Nando's specializes in chicken dishes with either lemon and herb, medium, hot or extra hot Peri-Peri marinades.
Peri-Peri is just another name for Piri-Piri which means African red devil and it is a small and intensely spicy member of the capsicum family.
Of course, a glass of bottomless drinks would certainly be a perfect choice to counteract the spiciness.
We have ordered a glass of refillable iced lemon tea which cost 5.90 bucks.
There are 4 bottles of sauces which are given the name 'bottled passions'.
They are tomato sauce, garlic, hot and extra hot Peri-Peri sauce.
If you dare, just go for the extra hot one.
I am a spicy lover and i suggest mixing the garlic sauce along with the extra hot sauce.
That is what i do whenever i am at Nando's.
There is a little price increase of 75 cents in the quarter chicken meal.
The current price is 15.25 bucks which is considered reasonable.
Each quarter chicken meal does come with two sidelines in which you are to choose them from list of sidelines.
My other half preferred hot marinated chicken and her picks were Peri Chips and potato salad.
Besides, she has requested for chicken thigh and it turned to be breast part.
Honestly, Nando's French Fries are the best i ever had.
The warm potatoes slathered with salad dressings were quite palatable.
Like what i have mentioned above, i am a truly spicy lover and i have asked for extra hot marinated chicken.
But, i sensed no difference in aspect of spiciness between hot and extra hot ones.
I am also a fan of French Fries and that is why my sidelines were Peri Chips and Old Style Chips.
Peri Chips are only Old Style Chips which have been topped with some Peri-Peri powder.
The chicken surely was ambrosial and both of us agreed to give 5 stars in term of deliciousness.
The only disatisfactory was that both of our sets have already been served and yet fork and knife sets were not given.
After two reminders, the waiter finally brought us the eating tools.
A star is deducted in the aspect of service.
Surprisingly, our soup was the last to be served.
It was served after reminding one of the waiters.
Yes, the soup was pretty thick but the solutes did not completely dissolve in it.
The lumps in soup made the texture a bit yucky.
Overall, the 'Peri-fied' mushroom soup was mouthwatering.
The soup cost us 4.50 bucks as we have ordered at least a set of chicken meal.
Its original price is around 6.50 bucks or whatever.
Here came the funny part, while we were enjoying our meal, a waiter came and intended to take away our plate of soup without even granting our permission.
The point is there was still plenty of soup inside our plate.
His hand was already in contact with the plate and of course, we have stopped him.
